Character Design

Some finished pieces of a character design for an evil prince character. The sketches are the way I design my character, first I create a messy sketch of a design I like, usually with a few references I found on Pinterest including clothes, hairstyles, body shape, etc. (this is the bottom sketch) and then sketch out the full-body character and colour it crudely to get an idea of colours, changing the colours as I go, and then I create a more detailed piece which is later turned into a full illustration.
